Bogotá born and Berlin based Brayan Valenzuela gives us three powerful originals for Cluster Node’s fifth release titled ‘Pink Dog’ (CN005), alongside two raging remixes by VSK and Kaylah.

‘You Are Not Perfect’ explodes the EP into existence with piercing synths, violent percussions and a kick that is as energetic as it is merciless. Title track ‘Pink Dog’ then takes us on a ruthless voyage, featuring sinister vocal samples, shrieking synth-lines to lock you up in the savage zone inside someone else’s head. ‘No More Games’ with its harsh disrupted rhythms, overdriven scream-like noise to freakishly tranquil guitar melodies, is a monstrous track audibly obsessed with horrors of all kinds.

VSK’s disorientingly meditative remix of ‘No More Games’ continues our journey into the underworld with this track, distinctive of the producer’s vivid sound, while Kaylah’s brutal remix of ‘Pink Dog’ finally crashes the EP in a blaze.

Brayan Valenzuela’s devotion to modular synths alongside masses of distorted energy and punching kicks characterise his sound and make the EP twenty-four carat dance-floor ammunition.
